Now Recruiting for the OF/BY/FOR ALL First Wave Research Program

Just eight weeks after launching OF/BY/FOR ALL global initiative, trustees and staff at over 1,000 organizations around the world have gotten involved. You've tried the organizational self-assessment, come to bootcamp, joined the email list, and shared your enthusiasm. Thank you for bringing energy to this work from day one.

Today, we offer you a deeper opportunity to strengthen your organization and help shape this movement as a founding research partner in our First Wave research program.

In the First Wave, 20 organizations will go through an intensive 6-month process to grow more of, by, and for your community. The First Wave members will be a diverse group in terms of size, sector, and geography. We welcome all kinds of organizations to apply, but we especially seek applicants from libraries, parks, and performing arts venues, as well as organizations led by people of color

During the First Wave, our expert team will help you:

  • set goals for community engagement

  • collect participant data to establish a baseline

  • adopt new behaviors to strengthen your work

  • track progress towards your goals

You'll make change alongside a supportive online community of fellow travelers from forward-looking civic and cultural organizations like yours around the world. We will coach and support you along the way, but ultimately, you decide how fast and far to go.

The First Wave is a research program that will start in October 2018. We'll be building the program with First Wave members' input and feedback. After the research phase in 2018-2019, we plan to open up a full-scale version to a much wider group of organizations in 2020.

Interested? The application period for the First Wave is NOW through August 29, 2018. Learn more about the First Wave research program and how to apply today.
