What to Expect

It should take you about 30 minutes to complete the Change Network application. You will not be able to save your progress, so gather the information you will need prior to beginning the application. You may view all the application questions in this Google doc. Feel free to make a copy of this document if you would like to write your responses ahead of time, and then copy and paste into the application form. When you apply, you’ll be asked to provide the following:

  • The name and contact information for the leader of the effort, aka your Team Champion. We encourage prospective Team Champions to write the application if possible.

  • Basics on your organization’s address, budget size, and sector.

  • Confirmation that you have a team, the time, the funds, and the leadership support to embark on this journey. This is a “readiness check” that may help you decide whether to complete a full application or not.

  • A statement about why you want to join the Change Network program.

  • Information about any upcoming community project(s) or community(s) with whom you want to focus your efforts (not required).

  • Information about any other major strategic initiatives underway at your organization.

If you are interested in the Change Network but unsure if your team is ready to apply, you can take this 2-minute readiness check to find out. You may discover you have one key element to put in place before you submit an application. We take program readiness seriously and see it as critical to your success. We’re happy to talk with you to help you assess when the best timing is for you to be successful in the program.

Application Timeline

We will be accepting new members for THREE cohorts annually (Q1, Q2, Q3). The Q1 cohort begins in March. Q2 is will begin in June and Q3 will begin in September. We will be accepting and reviewing applications on a rolling basis throughout the year until all cohorts are filled. Cohorts may be closed out if they reach capacity, in which case, we may be in touch with the applying Team Champion to discuss your ability to participate in a different cohort.

You may select your preferred cohort in your application.

 
 

Review Process

We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis in the order we receive them. The turnaround time to hear back from us with a decision on your application may take anywhere between 1-4 weeks. This depends on whether or not we've received a large influx of applications at one time, our staff capacity at any given moment, and whether or not we need to have additional discussions with the applying organization prior to making a decision. If we have questions about your application, we will be in touch with the contact person listed on the application. If your application is accepted, you’ll receive registration and billing information for your cohort, as well as next steps to prepare for the onboarding period. The 12-month program starts at the start of the beginning month of the Cohort. Once you have been accepted and paid your initial invoice, about 2-3 months prior to the cohort start date, you will receive a welcome email from our program team with instructions and information on how to prepare for Onboarding. Day 1 of Onboarding is the beginning of the 12-month program.
